Chronology of events

1941 — In July the biggest train evacuating personnel and equipment from the «Arsenal» plant, city of Kyev, arrived at Votkinsky zavod.


1941 — On July, 12 the Defense Government Committee made a decision for Votkinsky zavod to start producing 45-mm anti-tank cannons.


1941 — In October serial production of 45-mm anti-tank cannons commenced.


1942 — In July the first in the Soviet Union centrifugal casting shop for manufacturing of cannon barrels was commissioned.


1942 — In September the first 76-mm ZIS-3 battalion cannon was manufactured.


1944 — Manufacturing of 57-mm ZIS-2 anti-tank cannons commenced.


1945 — Votkinsky zavod was awarded the Order of Lenin (the highest government award) for selfless labor during the World War II
